Invisalign treatment is one of the most common teeth-straightening options. Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, and they can correct most cases of misalignment. They also have several other perks, but to get the best out of your Invisalign treatment and also maintain your new smile, you need some things that come with the Invisalign package.
Getting Invisalign usually starts by having a consultation with the Invisalign provider.
When you book a free consultation for Invisalign, the Invisalign provider will examine your gums and teeth, take photos and carry out X-rays of your teeth. You may also get to see a preview of what your teeth would look like after your treatment with the digital iTero scanner.
During the consultation, you will receive comprehensive Invisalign prices and packages. Most Invisalign providers offer affordable payment plans with no interest, so you could use the opportunity to ask for the available payment plans and choose the one most suitable for you.
Your Invisalign quote will cover all you need during your Invisalign treatment. This usually covers from your Invisalign 3D scan to the retainers.
Before your Invisalign provider takes scans and impressions of your teeth, you need to undergo a thorough polishing and scaling from the hygienist. This ensures that the orthodontist takes accurate impressions of your teeth and your teeth remain clean.
Your first hygiene treatment is usually part of the cost of getting Invisalign, but, if you want to have several hygiene appointments during your treatment, you need to pay for it separately or upgrade your Invisalign treatment package.
For other orthodontic treatments, the orthodontist usually takes the teeth impressions using a sticky substance, known as alginate, but, with Invisalign, your orthodontist will take impressions of your teeth a digital scanner.
Invisalign involves digitally scanning the teeth to create a 3D treatment plan using an Invisalign software called ClinCheck. With ClinCheck, you would see how the teeth will move during the treatment and the expected look of your teeth after your treatment.
Your Invisalign provider would also include all the check-ups you need during your treatment in the Invisalign quote. During your treatment, you need to see your orthodontist every 6 to 12 weeks to check the progress of the treatment and if necessary, make adjustments to your aligners or teeth to ensure you have a perfect smile.
Your Invisalign treatment may require the orthodontist to attach tooth-coloured buttons to your teeth. The buttons help your teeth make precise movements that may be difficult for only the aligners to achieve. The Invisalign buttons are usually discreet, and you can remove them once they serve their purpose.
Some Invisalign patients may require interproximal reduction (IPR) during or before their Invisalign treatment. An IPR is a procedure where the orthodontist removes small amounts of enamel between some teeth to make more space for them to move. It ensures that the teeth move correctly, and the result of the treatment is perfect.
Usually, Invisalign treatment goes as initially planned, but sometimes, emergencies occur that need you to see your orthodontist. If you misplace your aligners or they get broken, or your attachments fall off, you need to contact your orthodontist immediately to schedule an emergency appointment which usually comes at no additional cost.
While you are weighing your options when it comes to the Invisalign provider for your treatment, ensure that the ones you are considering include retainers in the Invisalign braces cost. Retainers are an essential part of your Invisalign journey. They help keep your smile straight, and without them, your teeth will likely move back to their previous position.
The Invisalign package should include either fixed retainers or clear removable retainers. Clear removable retainers look like the Invisalign aligners while the fixed ones require the orthodontist to attach them behind the teeth.
There is no allocated time for wearing retainers, as your teeth can gradually move back to their previous positions after several years of straightening the teeth.
Most persons request teeth whitening after their Invisalign treatment, so Invisalign providers include it in the standard Invisalign package. You may likely get a professional teeth whitening kit to whiten your teeth at home.
It is best to wait after your Invisalign treatment before you whiten your teeth if you have Invisalign attachments. If you do not have Invisalign attachments, you can consider whitening your teeth during your treatment.
To make your smile beautiful, you may need teeth contouring and shaping. This involves your orthodontist reshaping the teeth by removing small portions of the enamel. You may only need reshaping and contouring if your teeth are slightly asymmetrical or misshapen.
Suppose you have gum disease or are experiencing tooth decay. In that case, you may not be suitable for Invisalign treatment until you have received treatment, and this is not included in any Invisalign treatment package, just like every other orthodontic treatment.

Highly recommend Museum Dental Suite. Their work is of the highest calibre, professional and friendly. I'm very thankful they for excellent aftercare advice and for making me relaxed and so well treated. I've recommended them to both my family and friends.
I have been undertaking a cosmetic treatment (Invisalign) for around eight months here, off the back of a recommendation of a friend who had the same treatment. The professionalism and perfectionism with which my treatment was delivered was outstanding, as was the general service and were all of the staff I encountered.
My dentist Dr. Wahab Shakir was particularly great, with a friendly, reassuring manner and an eye for detail. He always went above and beyond, without ever being asked.
I'm now almost at the end of my treatment and couldn't be more pleased with how treatment has gone. Given the service and end result I'd also consider it excellent value for money.
Keep up the good work Museum Dental Suites!
Firstly what a great dentist, all the staff were friendly and very helpful as this was my first time here.
I had called for an emergency appointment due to a sudden cracked tooth and Dr Wahab Shakir despite the end of day fast approaching (30 minutes till close) he said he would see me.
The treatment was not straight forward due to the crack but Dr Shakir after a lengthy time managed to save the tooth/restore it and prevent what I believe most dentists would have done which install a crown - Thank you!
Highly recommend this dentist and service and I am grateful for not only seeing me within an hour but also staying passed closing time and finally for doing a Stella job.
This is a top notch dentist who makes you feel at ease which for someone liked me is important. The staff are very professional, polite, courteous and friendly. Marios, my dentist is extremely patient and cares about your dental care and the service you receive. Just received my new dentures and they have been done to a very high standard and am very pleased. I have nothing but praise for the staff and the treatment/service I received.
Best dentist ever hands down. Least painful and least scary experiences here (I'm usually really scared of going to the dentist, and even find the initial anaesthetic injection painful) - they really care about the patient, and making sure you're comfortable, results are also fab. Seriously can't imagine a better dentist!
After lots of research I was very happy with the results and the service at Museum Dental. 100% I would recommend to a friend. I couldn't be more pleased.
