One of the most sorts after benefits of Invisalign aligners is its flexibility. Invisalign allows patients to remove their aligners for special events, eat, clean the aligners, floss and brush their teeth. Although Invisalign aligner trays' removability is an advantage that makes it an attractive treatment, especially to young adults, wearing the aligners for the recommended time is essential to have a successful treatment.
When you leave your aligners for an extended period, it will affect your treatment's progress because the less time you wear your aligners, the longer your treatment time.
The following are some of the best practices for Invisalign patients;
Your orthodontist will lay out your Invisalign treatment plan at the start of your treatment. Most times, the orthodontist will give the patient all aligners at once with instructions on when to replace each set of aligners.
Sometimes, it takes longer to move the teeth, so the general two-week wear time for the aligner set may vary. It's essential to visit the orthodontist for all your check-ups, usually every two weeks, because it helps keep your treatment on track. During these visits, your orthodontist can tell whether you've been wearing the aligners or not. Your orthodontist can also tell if you did not wear a tray long enough, so you can wear the tray again to move your teeth. This is possible because each set of the aligner is designed to make certain teeth movement.
Your orthodontist will design your aligners to move your teeth into alignment gradually, and each set has a particular movement it should make. If you don't wear a set of aligner enough, the others may not fit properly.
A few hours of not wearing the Invisalign aligner trays can significantly impact your treatment, making you lose your progress. Although leaving out your aligners for a major event may not negatively affect your treatment, it may allow you forget to wear the Invisalign aligners or abandon them. For some people, seeing the progress their teeth have made can make them stop wearing the aligners as they should – don't let this be your case!
Even after wearing all the aligners designed to straighten your teeth, your Invisalign treatment is not complete. You still need to maintain your teeth in their current position, so you have to wear retainers. Your dentist will instruct you on how often you should wear the retainers to prevent the teeth from gradually shifting to their previous positions. You may have to wear the retainers all day at first and subsequently, only at night.
Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign is an easy-to-wear and effective orthodontic treatment. Invisalign requires fewer visits to the orthodontist for check-ups and causes less irritation. However, you need to be committed to your Invisalign treatment to achieve your desired result.

Highly recommend Museum Dental Suite. Their work is of the highest calibre, professional and friendly. I'm very thankful they for excellent aftercare advice and for making me relaxed and so well treated. I've recommended them to both my family and friends.
I have been undertaking a cosmetic treatment (Invisalign) for around eight months here, off the back of a recommendation of a friend who had the same treatment. The professionalism and perfectionism with which my treatment was delivered was outstanding, as was the general service and were all of the staff I encountered.
My dentist Dr. Wahab Shakir was particularly great, with a friendly, reassuring manner and an eye for detail. He always went above and beyond, without ever being asked.
I'm now almost at the end of my treatment and couldn't be more pleased with how treatment has gone. Given the service and end result I'd also consider it excellent value for money.
Keep up the good work Museum Dental Suites!
Firstly what a great dentist, all the staff were friendly and very helpful as this was my first time here.
I had called for an emergency appointment due to a sudden cracked tooth and Dr Wahab Shakir despite the end of day fast approaching (30 minutes till close) he said he would see me.
The treatment was not straight forward due to the crack but Dr Shakir after a lengthy time managed to save the tooth/restore it and prevent what I believe most dentists would have done which install a crown - Thank you!
Highly recommend this dentist and service and I am grateful for not only seeing me within an hour but also staying passed closing time and finally for doing a Stella job.
This is a top notch dentist who makes you feel at ease which for someone liked me is important. The staff are very professional, polite, courteous and friendly. Marios, my dentist is extremely patient and cares about your dental care and the service you receive. Just received my new dentures and they have been done to a very high standard and am very pleased. I have nothing but praise for the staff and the treatment/service I received.
Best dentist ever hands down. Least painful and least scary experiences here (I'm usually really scared of going to the dentist, and even find the initial anaesthetic injection painful) - they really care about the patient, and making sure you're comfortable, results are also fab. Seriously can't imagine a better dentist!
After lots of research I was very happy with the results and the service at Museum Dental. 100% I would recommend to a friend. I couldn't be more pleased.
